Senior Counseling

My practice involves a special emphasis on those age 50+ . In addition to my MA in Clinical Psychology and LMFT licensure, I am also certified through Boston University's Center for Aging.

I enjoy working with seniors , caregivers , and/or family members who may be adjusting to special needs of elders. Navigating the aging process can often be a daunting journey. Struggling to adjust to a new medical diagnosis can feel bruising. Suddenly finding oneself in the role of caregiver to a loved one, who is perhaps dealing with Alzheimer's dementia, can be overwhelming. The 'simple' act of retirement can come with transition issues. Often we find ourselves in the situation of being part of the 'sandwich generation', caring for parents while still raising our children. These are but a few examples of therapy focus.

I am deeply committed to helping people who may find themselves at a cross-roads, and are searching for a path to a more fulfilling life. If you or a loved one is having difficulty navigating any of life's issues, it would be an honor to work with you in a safe, empathic and warm atmosphere. I provide a supportive hand to help process difficult issues, explore positive aspects of one's life, and to discover a path to contentment and a sense of well-being. "Sharing one's burdens can help lighten the load."

*I also offer concierge services for those clients who may be homebound and unable to travel to an office.
